A Library-Based Automated Intelligent Modeller
نویسندگان
چکیده
Automated modelling is concerned with developing computer tools that obey good modelling practice to generate parsimonious models. In this paper we present AIM, a new automated modeller. We show how AIM is a progression from existing automated modellers and describe its novel features. These are mainly the result of the framebased library structure used to store and organise modelling knowledge. The modelling principles and algorithms of AIM are described and AIM is compared to other automated modelling systems.

Nicholson, S. (2003). Bibliomining for automated collection development in a digital library setting: Using data mining to discover web-based scholarly research works. 0. ABSTRACT This research creates an intelligent agent for automated collection development in a digital library setting. It uses a predictive model based on facets of each Web page to select scholarly works. The criteria came fr...
متن کاملIntegration of Activity Modeller with Bayesian Network Based Recommender for Business Processes
Formalized process models help to handle, design and store processes in a form understandable for the designers and users. As model repositories often contain similar or related models, they should be used when modelling new processes in a form of automated recommendations. It is important, as designers prefer to receive and use suggestions during the modelling process. Recommendations make mod...
متن کاملMetadata-supported Automated Ecological Modelling
Ecological models should be rooted in data derived from observation, allowing methodical model construction and clear accounts of model results with respect to the data. Unfortunately, many models are retrospectively fitted to data because in practice it is difficult to bridge the gap between concrete data and abstract models. Our research is on automated methods to support bridging this gap. T...
متن کاملInteractive Rendering of CSG Models
We describe a CSG rendering algorithm that requires no evaluation of the CSG tree beyond normal-ization and pruning. It renders directly from the normalized CSG tree and primitives described (to the graphics system) by their facetted boundaries. It behaves correctly in the presence of user dened, \near" and \far" clipping planes. It has been implemented on standard graphics workstations using I...
